Dr. Elizabeth Krause
Dr. Elizabeth Krause is committed to her patients, treating each patient individually and understanding their needs to ensure the highest quality and most comfortable care. She prides herself in providing care for patients who have struggled to find the right place for dental care. Dr. Krause has a passion for people and has dedicated her career to making the dental experience as comfortable as possible for all patients.
Dr. Krause grew up in the Midwest, got a degree in psychology from Loyola University Chicago, and graduated from Marquette School of Dentistry. She completed her general practice residency at NYU Langone Brooklyn and continued on for a chief year focusing on treating special needs patients both in the clinical and OR setting. Dr. Krause received a special award in treating complex and special needs patients. Currently, she works in the same residency at NYU Langone as an Attending Dentist, teaching residents in the clinic and OR. Additionally, she works at an NYU offsite clinic where she provides care for highly anxious and other behaviorally complex patients, including patients with a history of drug addiction, psychiatric disorders, geriatric patients, and patients with a range of developmental and intellectual disabilities. During her career, Dr. Krause has also spent time working in a pediatric office as well as working for the city providing dental care in juvenile detention centers and the public school system.
Dr. Krause’s advanced training allows her to perform a vast range of dental procedures. She has taken continuing education in implant and esthetic dentistry and attends various training courses throughout the year. She is currently training for her oral sedation certification. Dr. Krause is a member of the ADA, NYSDA, and second district dental association and is a member of the special care dental association.
