Do you Fear Dental Visits? That’s Exactly Why you Should See us!

Dental anxiety

Dental anxiety can make it nearly impossible to see the dentist. We understand! We have designed our New York City practice around patients who may have avoided dental care for years! Dr. Siegelman and our team have a number of different ways through which we make dental visits a far more pleasant experience.

Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

This seems to be a common trend among people who experience the varying degrees of dental anxiety. Because there is a fear, regardless of where it originated, there is apprehension about making appointments that could save teeth! No matter how much you want to make that call, simply picking up the phone can be difficult overcome which leads to procrastination. Then a toothache starts and you know what you have to do. By the time you get the care you need, your dentist tells you that you need treatment that could’ve been prevented. And what effect does this have? It makes you even more apprehensive to see the dentist!

Let’s try a New Way

Here’s the thing about dental anxiety. It stems from a bad experience, or several. If you follow the above-mentioned pattern, there’s no telling how many “bad” experiences you have had. Not only did you have to face a painful dental situation, but you may have felt embarrassed about your fear. We don’t want this! What we want is to offset your bad experiences. To do so, we need to replace them with good ones. Our team is here to help you in any way we can!

Dr. Siegelman is not just a dentist. He is a dentist anesthesiologist. He is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and has conducted thousands of procedures using sedation. This may be nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, or IV or general anesthesia. Many dentists offer the first two methods of sedation, but, if you know anything about dental anxiety (and we know you do), this is not enough for some people.

If you like the idea of feeling comfortable and safe in the dental office, we are here to show you how that’s possible. Come to meet us. Call (212) 974-8737.
